I am so blessed and proud to be a part of the community of Faith Lutheran School. When you walk on campus you will see students from all different backgrounds and walks of life. Faith is a learning environment that seeks to live as Jesus did and share the good news of Christ with ALL children and families as we abide by God’s direction for our church when He commanded, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
It is through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and His love that we have seen children led to Christ and then lead others to Him. Our teachers and staff leading in love. Faith Lutheran School provides for a foundation set on God’s word. Through service to others, children are sharing Faith in our community!
With much of my background in public schools, I can speak first hand to the difference of a private Christian education. Small class sizes, sound curriculum, and loving teachers, who offer one on one care and instruction, lead to students who compete and excel at the high school level and beyond.
Faith Lutheran School has a 70 year history of educating students in Tucson. The testimonies of our alumni speak to the profound role of their years at Faith. I am blessed that my own children will have similar stories and I look forward to seeing the choices that they make for God as they mature and grow.
Upon touring our school parents often ask, “Where do students go when they leave Faith?” It is easy to answer with the expected response, “Our students often move to University High, Salpointe, St. Augustine, or Desert Christian.” The more accurate answer is that our students go in the direction of living and delivering the word of God to others while they tackle education at competitive high schools and universities and enter the career force.
Our goal at Faith is for children to develop as 2 Peter 3:15 instructs. “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…” Romans 12:1 speaks well of our desire for students. “Therefore I urge you brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice - holy and pleasing to God - this is your true and proper worship.”
Join us this school year as we study and grow according to God’s purpose. Our school theme for this academic year is, “We will…” Our verse for focus is, Be very careful to keep the commandment: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to Him, to keep His commands, to hold fast to Him and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Joshua 22:5
